Cynthia Mallett (Cindy), MMC
Cindy is serving the Town of Iowa as Municipal Clerk.
The Municipal Clerk serves as auditor for the municipality, record keeper for the business of the municipality including, but not limited to, the minutes of the Mayor and Council Members’ public meetings and the Ordinances adopted by the Municipality’s Council Members, custodian of the Municipal Seal. The Clerk works to maintain open communication between the citizens and the elected officials.
Cindy has 29+ years in municipal government. She earned her Master Municipal Clerk Certificate from Louisiana State University in 2003.
Prior to working for the Town of Iowa she served the Town of Lake Arthur as Municipal Clerk where she was designated the Flood Plain Administrator, Tax Collector, and Clerk of Court.
Cindy began serving the citizens of Iowa October 2017 as their town’s accountant. In January 2019 she was appointed as Municipal Clerk.
Cindy has served Louisiana as Notary Public for 30+ years. She is a member of International Institute of Municipal Clerks and the Louisiana Municipal Clerks Association.
QC & Public Relations
Pat Thibodeaux began serving the Town of Iowa as Quality Control & Public Relations as of March 2021.
Quality Control reviews Public Works projects and production. Public Relations communicates information to the public.
Pat graduated from McNeese State University, Cum Laude’ with a Batchelor of Science, Business Management.
Prior to working for the Town of Iowa, he devoted 36 years to Entergy with 21 of those years in management. During that time, Pat focused on safety and reliability, as well as ensuring all regulatory guidelines were met. Pat is also Six Sigma certified.
Pat Thibodeaux looks forward to serving the Town of Iowa in all Quality Control and Public Relation needs.
