Iowa Police Department

The primary goal of the Police Department is protection of life and property, prevention of crime and apprehension of criminal perpetrators. The Department strives to provide the best possible police service to residents of Iowa and to those who work, travel and shop here.

The Iowa Police Department is located at 115 North Thomson Street in the Town Center. The Department now has 2 Commanders, an authorized strength of sworn 6 Full Time Patrol Officers, 1 Detective, 1 Ordnance Enforcement Officer, 1 Drug Interdiction Officer, 2 Part Time Patrol Officers, 3 dispatchers, 2 Part Time dispatchers, 18 Non Paid Reserve Officers, 5 Reserve Chaplains, and a support staff of 1 and provides a wide range of protection and enforcement services.
